Ring in Hollywood Bowl’s summer season this June 15 at the venue’s special Opening Night event! Expect cocktails, gourmet food, a spectacular performance by John Legend and a bright fireworks finale.
All About Opening Night
Good music, good friends, and good vibes. All things you can expect to find at Opening Night at the Bowl with John Legend. The night will kick off on Saturday, June 15 at 8 p.m. Arrive early as a VIP package-holder for a pre-concert cocktail reception and gourmet meal. During the concert, expect well-known hits as well as new releases from John Legend. And afterwards, enjoy one of the biggest and best fireworks shows in the area. You can view VIP package prices (regular admission is officially sold out) here. All proceeds from Opening Night benefit the Los Angeles Philharmonic and its learning and community programs.
While You’re There, Eat Some Food
If the gourmet meal doesn’t quite fill you up (it’s okay, get it), grab some snacks inside Hollywood Bowl. Side note: The Bowl’s culinary program was designed by James Beard Award-winning chef Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne. In other words, the food is really good. Order complete meals ahead of time, served right at your seats. Or, pick up a pre-ordered “picnic box” to enjoy at your seat or at one of the Bowl’s picnic areas. You can also stop by one of the three Marketplaces within the Bowl for sandwiches, salads, artisanal snacks and drinks.
You Can Tour a Museum Too
Get to Hollywood Bowl early and peruse the Hollywood Bowl Museum. Walk through exhibits and learn about the Bowl’s rich 100-year history in the Los Angeles area. See how iconic performers like Nat “King” Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, The Beatles and Elton John made the Hollywood Bowl what it is today. Check out all the museum’s exhibits on display here. The museum is open year-round with special seasonal hours. You can peruse at your leisure or you can book special group tours for the best behind-the-scenes experience.
