Universal Studios Hollywood is one of the most notable attractions in the Studio City area – and for good reason. The park features several movie-inspired rides and walk-through attractions, like the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Who-ville. Visitors also have the chance to meet and greet some of their favorite characters and eat at specially themed restaurants throughout the park. During the holidays, Universal becomes even more magical with plenty of décor and festivities.
Holidays at Universal Studios
Now through Dec 29, you’ll find Universal Studios Hollywood swathed, top to bottom, in holiday décor. Think: lights, Christmas trees and other festive decorations. Holidays at Universal Studios also means holiday-themed food served at several of its dining locations, meet and greets with characters like the Grinch, photo opportunities with Santa, exclusive holiday merchandise and much more. Not only is the park itself decked out in holiday cheer, but its walk-through attractions also pull out all the stops.
Christmas in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter
As if it wasn’t already magical enough, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter transforms into a whimsical holiday attraction during December. Experience The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle, a holiday spectacle of amazing lights and music. Or, grab a butterbeer from the warm and cozy Three Broomsticks. Several of the shops in Hogsmeade will also have special holiday offerings, for you or as a gift to Harry Potter fans back home.
Now through Dec 29, guests can also experience Grinchmas in Universal Studios Hollywood. The attraction is marked by a massive 60-foot crooked Christmas tree, surrounded by Whos and the Grinch himself. Each night, there’s a tree lighting ceremony, followed by a storytelling of Dr. Seuss’s “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” While you’ll have photo opportunities with the Grinch, his dog Max and Cindy-Lou Who during the tree lighting, there will also be other Whos available all day for photos around the tree.
